Wasps and hornets build nests in a wide range of spots around a Chiloquin property — eaves, attic vents, ground burrows, dense shrubs — often going unnoticed until activity picks up. A mix of older ranch homes and modest small-town construction, most built with basements for winter cold rather than the moisture concerns of western Oregon.
Our process starts with correctly identifying the species, since honeybees, wasps, hornets, and yellowjackets all require different handling. Aggressive stinging insects like yellowjackets and hornets get direct nest treatment; honeybee colonies get relocated by a beekeeper whenever possible, since they're a protected and beneficial species.
