Wasps and hornets build nests in a wide range of spots around a Hardyville property — eaves, attic vents, ground burrows, dense shrubs — often going unnoticed until activity picks up. A mix of historic colonial-era homes along the James River and newer suburban and coastal development, many on crawl spaces given the high water table.
Nest removal starts with locating every entry and exit point, since a nest treated from only one angle can leave insects able to relocate nearby. For destructive species we eliminate the colony on-site; for honeybees, we coordinate relocation to preserve the colony rather than destroying a beneficial pollinator population.
