Siloam's climate — a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters, typical of the Piedmont, cooler in the mountains to the north — supports an active stinging-insect season lasting several months. Eaves, wall voids, sheds, and dense landscaping all offer nesting sites that are hard to spot until a nest is already established.
For wasps, hornets, and yellowjackets, we locate the nest, confirm the species, and apply a targeted treatment that eliminates the colony with minimal disruption to the area around it. Honeybee colonies are handled differently — since they're protected pollinators, our approach is relocation rather than extermination whenever a colony can be safely removed intact.
