Wasps and hornets build nests in a wide range of spots around a Stony Creek property — eaves, attic vents, ground burrows, dense shrubs — often going unnoticed until activity picks up. A mix of historic colonial-era homes along the James River and newer suburban and coastal development, many on crawl spaces given the high water table.
Our process starts with correctly identifying the species, since honeybees, wasps, hornets, and yellowjackets all require different handling. Aggressive stinging insects like yellowjackets and hornets get direct nest treatment; honeybee colonies get relocated by a beekeeper whenever possible, since they're a protected and beneficial species.
