Wasps and hornets build nests in a wide range of spots around a Straughn property — eaves, attic vents, ground burrows, dense shrubs — often going unnoticed until activity picks up. A mix of historic river-town homes, university-area housing near Bloomington, and hillside construction typical of southern Indiana's limestone terrain.
Nest removal starts with locating every entry and exit point, since a nest treated from only one angle can leave insects able to relocate nearby. For destructive species we eliminate the colony on-site; for honeybees, we coordinate relocation to preserve the colony rather than destroying a beneficial pollinator population.
