Wasps and hornets build nests in a wide range of spots around a Woodside property — eaves, attic vents, ground burrows, dense shrubs — often going unnoticed until activity picks up. A mix of beach cottages, newer coastal construction, and farmhouses on the flat Delmarva farmland, many built on crawl spaces given the high water table.
Nest removal starts with locating every entry and exit point, since a nest treated from only one angle can leave insects able to relocate nearby. For destructive species we eliminate the colony on-site; for honeybees, we coordinate relocation to preserve the colony rather than destroying a beneficial pollinator population.
