German cockroaches favor warm, humid spaces near food and water — kitchens, behind appliances, under sinks — and Glenshaw's a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers, cold snowy winters, and frequent overcast skies keeps them active most of the year. American cockroaches, larger and reddish-brown, prefer basements, drains, and utility rooms. Brick and frame construction from the steel era dominates, much of it built directly into the region's steep terrain.
Because sanitation and moisture are almost always part of the problem, our process pairs targeted gel-bait treatment with a review of what's drawing roaches in — a leak, exposed food storage, cluttered voids. Broadcast sprays just scatter a colony; bait placed at the harborage site eliminates it. A follow-up visit confirms results.
