German cockroaches favor warm, humid spaces near food and water — kitchens, behind appliances, under sinks — and Oldtown's a four-season inland climate with real winter snow, mild summers, and higher humidity than the rest of Idaho thanks to nearby lakes and forest keeps them active most of the year. American cockroaches, larger and reddish-brown, prefer basements, drains, and utility rooms. Wood-frame construction with basements is standard here, spread across in-town neighborhoods and forested lakefront properties.
Because sanitation and moisture are almost always part of the problem, our process pairs targeted gel-bait treatment with a review of what's drawing roaches in — a leak, exposed food storage, cluttered voids. Broadcast sprays just scatter a colony; bait placed at the harborage site eliminates it. A follow-up visit confirms results.
