German cockroaches favor warm, humid spaces near food and water — kitchens, behind appliances, under sinks — and Powell Butte's a climate defined by dryness and temperature extremes, the opposite of Oregon's rainy reputation keeps them active most of the year. American cockroaches, larger and reddish-brown, prefer basements, drains, and utility rooms. Housing here ranges from historic ranch construction to newer rural homes, adapted to a much drier climate than the rest of the state.
Because sanitation and moisture are almost always part of the problem, our process pairs targeted gel-bait treatment with a review of what's drawing roaches in — a leak, exposed food storage, cluttered voids. Broadcast sprays just scatter a colony; bait placed at the harborage site eliminates it. A follow-up visit confirms results.
