German cockroaches favor warm, humid spaces near food and water — kitchens, behind appliances, under sinks — and Sandpoint's a cooler, wetter climate than most of Idaho, shaped by proximity to mountain lakes and dense evergreen forest keeps them active most of the year. American cockroaches, larger and reddish-brown, prefer basements, drains, and utility rooms. Wood-frame homes and log-style cabins are common, many with basements and built for real winter snow loads, often on wooded or lakefront lots.
Because sanitation and moisture are almost always part of the problem, our process pairs targeted gel-bait treatment with a review of what's drawing roaches in — a leak, exposed food storage, cluttered voids. Broadcast sprays just scatter a colony; bait placed at the harborage site eliminates it. A follow-up visit confirms results.
