German cockroaches favor warm, humid spaces near food and water — kitchens, behind appliances, under sinks — and Somerset's a climate defined by extreme summer heat — well over 100°F is common — and cool, foggy winters keeps them active most of the year. American cockroaches, larger and reddish-brown, prefer basements, drains, and utility rooms. A mix of older farmworker and agricultural-town housing and newer suburban tract construction, most on slab foundations built for heat rather than cold.
Because sanitation and moisture are almost always part of the problem, our process pairs targeted gel-bait treatment with a review of what's drawing roaches in — a leak, exposed food storage, cluttered voids.
