German cockroaches favor warm, humid spaces near food and water — kitchens, behind appliances, under sinks — and Yonkers's a climate shaped by the region's coastal position, with genuine seasonal extremes and frequent nor'easters in winter keeps them active most of the year. American cockroaches, larger and reddish-brown, prefer basements, drains, and utility rooms. Historic brownstones and brick rowhomes make up much of the older urban housing stock, alongside Long Island's tract-home suburbs.
Because sanitation and moisture are almost always part of the problem, our process pairs targeted gel-bait treatment with a review of what's drawing roaches in — a leak, exposed food storage, cluttered voids.
