Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Avalon's conditions — a climate with minimal rainfall much of the year and a real, if short, wildfire season in the surrounding hills — create exactly that. Stucco and wood-frame homes dominate here, spanning post-war tract housing to newer suburban subdivisions. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
