Berea's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Housing here dates heavily to the early-1900s manufacturing and rubber-industry era, with narrow city lots and full basements standard. Combined with the local climate — a climate shaped by proximity to Lake Erie, with dramatically higher winter snow totals than the rest of the state — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
