Big Clifty's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. A mix of older rural homes built into hillside and hollow terrain, with wood-frame construction common throughout this forested region. Combined with the local climate — a four-season climate shaped by hilly, forested terrain, with real winter cold and hot, humid summers — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
