Bucksport's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. A blend of historic coastal architecture and newer development, with basements standard given the cold winters. Combined with the local climate — a coastal climate moderated by the Gulf of Maine, with cold winters and cool, pleasant summers — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
