Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Cayuga's conditions — a climate that behaves somewhat like the upper South, with shorter, milder winters than the rest of the state — create exactly that. A mix of historic river-town homes, university-area housing near Bloomington, and hillside construction typical of southern Indiana's limestone terrain. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
