Chamisal's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Housing spans centuries-old adobe village homes to newer mountain construction designed for heavy winter snow. Combined with the local climate — a cool, dry mountain climate with cold winters and mild summers typical of the southern Rockies — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
