Constantine's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. A mix of established Grand Rapids-area neighborhoods and more rural, forest-adjacent homes farther north, most with basements built for heavy snow load. Combined with the local climate — a four-season climate defined by lake-effect weather, colder and snowier than southeast Michigan, especially in the Upper Peninsula — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
