Darrow's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Elevated and pier-foundation construction is common throughout this flood-prone river corridor, alongside newer slab-built subdivisions. Combined with the local climate — a humid subtropical climate with hot, muggy summers, mild winters, and heavy rainfall typical of the lower Mississippi River corridor — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
