Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Floriston's conditions — a four-season alpine-adjacent climate with genuine winter cold and snow at higher elevations — create exactly that. A mix of historic gold-rush-era homes and newer mountain construction, most built for real winter snow loads at higher elevations. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
