Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Hanscom Afb's conditions — a climate shaped by coastal proximity, with genuine seasonal extremes typical of southern New England — create exactly that. Historic wood-frame triple-deckers and colonial-era homes make up much of the older housing stock, alongside newer suburban construction. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
