Hiland's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. A mix of older ranch homes and newer wood-frame construction, most built with basements to handle harsh winter cold, spread across large rural parcels. Combined with the local climate — a semi-arid climate defined by wind, elevation, and real winter cold, with summers that stay cool even in July — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
