Ikes Fork's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Housing here is often built into steep hillside terrain, ranging from historic coal-camp homes to more modest recent construction. Combined with the local climate — a climate shaped by steep, forested terrain, with more precipitation and cooler temperatures than nearby valleys — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
