La Vista's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Suburban subdivisions built over the past few decades dominate, nearly all with basements given the region's cold winters. Combined with the local climate — a continental climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters, standard for the Omaha metro area — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
