Lolita's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Slab construction is standard here, built for heat and flood risk rather than winter cold. Combined with the local climate — a humid subtropical climate with intense summer heat and humidity, heavy rainfall, and a real hurricane season — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Termite treatment starts with identifying exactly where the colony is accessing the structure, since a targeted approach is far more effective than a blanket treatment. Depending on the property, we recommend either a liquid soil treatment creating a barrier around the foundation, or a bait-station monitoring system that's checked on a schedule.
