Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Loogootee's conditions — a humid continental climate with milder winters than northern Indiana, given the region's more southern position along the Ohio River — create exactly that. A blend of established hill-country homes and newer suburban growth tied to the region's university and manufacturing base. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
