Loyalton's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Housing spans historic foothill-town construction to newer resort-area homes built for heavy snow. Combined with the local climate — a mountain climate ranging from moderate foothill winters to genuinely severe conditions near Lake Tahoe — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
