Termites don't announce themselves the way most pests do. In Lyme, a humid continental climate with cold, snowy winters and warm, humid summers, typical of southern New England, and Wood-frame homes with basements dominate here, from historic mill-town construction to newer suburban builds. Regular inspection is the only reliable way to catch a colony before it causes real structural damage.
Termite treatment starts with identifying exactly where the colony is accessing the structure, since a targeted approach is far more effective than a blanket treatment. Depending on the property, we recommend either a liquid soil treatment creating a barrier around the foundation, or a bait-station monitoring system that's checked on a schedule.
