Manahawkin's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Crawl-space and basement construction both appear here, varying by proximity to the coast and water table. Combined with the local climate — a humid subtropical-leaning climate with hot, humid summers and winters milder than northern New Jersey, moderated near the coast — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
