McCormick's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. A mix of established suburban neighborhoods and newer subdivisions, most with basements or crawl spaces given the region's hillier terrain. Combined with the local climate — a four-season Piedmont climate with real seasonal variation, more moderate than the coastal Lowcountry — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
