Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and New Roads's conditions — a hot, humid, flood-prone climate typical of south Louisiana's river parishes — create exactly that. A blend of historic raised homes near the river and newer subdivisions further inland, most built with flooding in mind. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
