Palatka's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. A mix of older wood-frame homes and newer construction, with more traditional Southern-style housing than the concrete-block homes further south. Combined with the local climate — a climate that behaves more like the Deep South than the tropical peninsula, with real (if brief) cold snaps in winter — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
