Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Parkman's conditions — a four-season climate defined by Great Lakes lake-effect weather, colder and snowier than central or southern Ohio — create exactly that. Older brick and wood-frame homes built during the region's industrial boom, most with basements to handle heavy snow load. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
