Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Pauline's conditions — a four-season Piedmont climate with real seasonal variation, more moderate than the coastal Lowcountry — create exactly that. A mix of established suburban neighborhoods and newer subdivisions, most with basements or crawl spaces given the region's hillier terrain. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
