Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Pendergrass's conditions — a hot, humid climate for much of the year, with winters mild enough that snow is the exception rather than the rule — create exactly that. A blend of older in-town homes and newer exurban development pushing outward toward the north Georgia mountains. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Termite treatment starts with identifying exactly where the colony is accessing the structure, since a targeted approach is far more effective than a blanket treatment. Depending on the property, we recommend either a liquid soil treatment creating a barrier around the foundation, or a bait-station monitoring system that's checked on a schedule.
