Penn's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Brick and frame construction from the steel era dominates, much of it built directly into the region's steep terrain. Combined with the local climate — a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers, cold snowy winters, and frequent overcast skies — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
