Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Pine Meadow's conditions — a four-season New England climate without the Sound's moderating effect, meaning colder winters than the shoreline — create exactly that. A mix of historic farmhouses and mid-century suburban homes, most with basements given the colder inland winters. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
