Port Bolivar's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Slab construction is standard here, built for heat and flood risk rather than winter cold. Combined with the local climate — a humid subtropical climate with intense summer heat and humidity, heavy rainfall, and a real hurricane season — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Termite treatment starts with identifying exactly where the colony is accessing the structure, since a targeted approach is far more effective than a blanket treatment. Depending on the property, we recommend either a liquid soil treatment creating a barrier around the foundation, or a bait-station monitoring system that's checked on a schedule.
