Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Purchase's conditions — a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers and cold winters, moderated somewhat near the coast — create exactly that. A blend of dense urban multi-family construction and single-family suburban homes, most with basements or crawl spaces. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
