Schooleys Mountain's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Historic brick and frame two- and three-family homes make up much of the older housing stock, alongside newer suburban development. Combined with the local climate — a climate shaped by the region's proximity to the coast and the New York City urban heat island, with genuine seasonal extremes — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
