Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Sturtevant's conditions — a four-season climate with real winter extremes, especially in the northern forest regions — create exactly that. A mix of older farmhouses and modest small-town homes, most built with basements to handle harsh winters. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
