Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Tolono's conditions — a climate shaped by the region's flat, exposed farmland, prone to strong winds and rapid weather changes — create exactly that. Wood-frame farmhouses dominate the rural landscape, alongside brick homes in the region's industrial and college towns. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
