Van Vleck's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Slab construction is standard here, built for heat and flood risk rather than winter cold. Combined with the local climate — a humid subtropical climate with intense summer heat and humidity, heavy rainfall, and a real hurricane season — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
