Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Venus's conditions — a tropical climate with hot, humid conditions nearly year-round and a pronounced hurricane season — create exactly that. A mix of established neighborhoods and newer resort-adjacent development, nearly all built on slab foundations. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Termite treatment starts with identifying exactly where the colony is accessing the structure, since a targeted approach is far more effective than a blanket treatment. Depending on the property, we recommend either a liquid soil treatment creating a barrier around the foundation, or a bait-station monitoring system that's checked on a schedule.
