Warroad's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Older farmhouses and small-town homes, nearly all with full basements built to handle the region's extreme winter cold. Combined with the local climate — a climate with some of the coldest winter temperatures in the lower 48, especially in the northern part of the state — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
