Termites don't announce themselves the way most pests do. In Waterman, a climate shaped by proximity to Lake Michigan, with colder, snowier conditions than much of downstate Illinois, and Historic brick two- and three-flat buildings make up much of the older city housing stock, alongside postwar suburban tract homes. Regular inspection is the only reliable way to catch a colony before it causes real structural damage.
Termite treatment starts with identifying exactly where the colony is accessing the structure, since a targeted approach is far more effective than a blanket treatment. Depending on the property, we recommend either a liquid soil treatment creating a barrier around the foundation, or a bait-station monitoring system that's checked on a schedule.
