Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Weems's conditions — a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and cold winters, typical of the Mid-Atlantic — create exactly that. Basements are standard here given the region's winter cold, alongside a significant share of newer multi-family construction. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
