Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and West Newton's conditions — a coastal climate moderated by the Atlantic, with milder winters and cooler summers than inland Massachusetts — create exactly that. A blend of historic coastal architecture and newer beach-community homes, many used only part of the year. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
