Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Wheeler's conditions — a four-season climate typical of the Midwest, with real winter cold and consistent summer humidity — create exactly that. A mix of historic farmhouses and mid-century homes in manufacturing and logistics hubs, most with basements to handle harsh winters. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Because termite colonies operate underground and out of sight, our process leans heavily on inspection: checking every foundation wall, sill plate, and crawl space for activity. From there we deploy either soil treatment or a Sentricon-style bait and monitoring program, both backed by a written service report.
